AFRICAN ENTERPRISE - PRAYER POINTERS 1st April, 2010
Ps 22:1 My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me? Why are You so far from saving Me, so far from the words of My groaning?
SA MISSIONS Ps. 22:7-8 All who see Me mock Me; they hurl insults, shaking their heads: He trusts in the Lord; let the Lord rescue Him. City Wide Missions Nelspruit – 22nd – 29th August, 2010 • Praise the Lord for the meeting called by the mayor at the new Mbombela Soccer Stadium on the 27th May. Christians from right across Nelspruit and surrounding areas gathered to ask the Lord for forgiveness for sins in their own lives, churches, cities and the country. The first meeting in this new stadium was consecrated to the Lord! • The Steering Committee for the mission has been elected. Pray for each one who will be working towards the mission in August – there is much to be done. • 16th April – Chris, Roy and Xolani be in Nelspruit for set up meetings. Knysna – 10th – 17th October 2010 • Pray for contacts with Christian leaders and open doors as the set up process takes root. Evangelism, Reconciliation, Renewal, Action Missions Randburg – St Marks Church - 21st – 28th March - Chris, Roy and the Jhb Foxfires • Praise the Lord for His anointing upon those speaking during this mission and those who responded to His calling. Pray that they will continue to grow in Him. Revival Centre – Howick – 30th March – 4th April • The mission is under way – pray for Foxfires and Roy as they minister to this community. Kairos Bible Church – Nigel, Jhb – 5th – 11th April • Pray for a mighty moving of the Spirit during this mission. May His love and glory be revealed as His word is proclaimed. • Pray for Roy, Xolani and Jhb. Foxfires preparing themselves for this mission. Community Mission Z anspruit Mission – 6th – 11th September • Pray for the steering and working committees as they prepare for the mission.
UNIVERSITY MISSIONS Ps 22:14 I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint. My heart has turned to wax; it has melted away within Me. • Pray for missions being set up at Rhodes, Uni Jhb, Wits, Uni Zulu, Walter Sisulu, DUT and Nelspruit in conjunction with Mission Africa. • Uni Jhb and Wits – 12th – 14th April – meetings as pre cursor to FIFA World Cup.
PAN AFRICAN MISSIONS Ps. 22:16 Dogs have surrounded Me; a band of evil men has encircled Me, they have pierced My hands and My feet. Monrovia • 28th March – 4th April. Pray for the Lord’s protection upon Songe during his time in Liberia. Praise the Lord for the completion of the sanitation project in Busi quarters as a result of the mission to Monrovia in 2009. Songe has been invited to speak at the opening ceremony. • Pray for travel mercies for Songe as he returns on Easter Sunday. Mission Africa Project – Pray for : - • Scott Lenning - Responsible for recruiting and assigning International Evangelistic Teams from around the world to partner with organizations and communities across Africa. • Songe Chibambo - responsible for discovering African communities and ministries to host Mission Africa Events • Eliot Winks - responsible for coordination of church or mission groups to participate in "acts of deed or compassion" as part of Mission Africa events and communications within the Anglican church community • Michael Cassidy, Chair of the Cape Town 2010 Mission Committee. • Pray for preparations underway for missions in : - DRC, Uganda, Tanzania, Sudan, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Malawi and S.Africa
FOXFIRES Ps.22:17,18 I can count all My bones; people stare and gloat over Me. They divide My garments among them and cast lots for My clothing. • 7th – 29th April Dino and 4 Foxfires tour to the USA. Pray for the visa applications to be processed without any delays. • 7th April - Hloni will be joining the Foxfires to assist with fundraising and will also be recruiting for the Intern programme • Pray for permanent accommodation for the Cape Town team and travel mercies for teams.
PORT ELIZABETH • Continue to pray for Mvusi’s nephew, Buyilise who is in hospital with suspected stomach cancer. Pray for strength and peace at this time for Buyilise and the family. • P.E. Foxfires and Mvusi ministering during the Easter Weekend.
RADIO MINISTRY • 29th March – 24th April Radio KNI ministry – Pray for those speaking, travel mercies, good relations with Radio KNI staff and smooth running of the programme. • Pray for Sindiswa during this busy time working with Radio Kni as well as preparing the Prayer Cd and programmes for other stations.
MICHAEL’S OFFICE Ps22:24 For He has not despised or disdained the suffering of the afflicted One; He has not hidden His face from Him but has listened to His cry for help. • Pray for Michael and Carol. Praise the Lord for His healing hand upon Carol. • Michael has correspondence to attend to, decisions to be made and writing to be done.
AE LEADERSHIP TRAINING CENTRE • Praise the Lord : - • For identifying and appointing Dr. Zolile Mlisana as chairperson of AELTC board. • For identifying and employing Pastor Sipho Sibisi as Training Manager for AELTC • Pray that God • Will guide the development of the programme for the 2nd generation strategy • Guide the AE/Cornerstone talks on the formation of a partnership • Break down the barriers within the AE structures • Provide finance for the implementation of the AELTC programmes • Guide the smooth transition and settling in process of training manager • Guide the recruitment of participants to the “Church Jesus Prayer For” conference and Moore College. • Guide the development of a document for fundraising.
CENTRE • Continue to pray for Sam Hlatswayo who is battling with a back injury. • Thembi has the ‘flu and struggles with asthma. • Pray for the Centre team in all that they do serving guests and maintaining the property.
DEVELOPMENT AND SOCIAL EMPOWERMENT • Pray for contacts with students in order that Mbu and Tili can do field visits. • 15th April – Tim Foggin will be assisting with the accreditation of the DSE programme. Pray for this process to be finalised.
Ps. 22:27,28 All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations will bow before Him, for dominion belongs to Him and He will rule over the nations
DISABILITY CONNEXION • 17th April – Disability Connexion Group meeting. Pray for preparations. • 30th April – 2nd May – DisAbility Connexion weekend away. Pray for guidance with the set up and for the right contacts for emotional healing prayer during the weekend.
PARTNERSHIP DEVELOPMENT • A further R30000 is needed for the KZN Foxfire vehicle. Pray for a favourable response when trustees meet on the 7th April. • Pray for Sandra as she liaises with donors and submits funding proposals. • Pray for the financial situation. Donations were “down” in March.
AE TEAMS AND SUPPORT OFFICES John 10:17-18 The reason My Father loves me is that I lay down my life – only to take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.” • Globalisation – Praise the Lord for John Reid who gave of his time in expounding on the Globalisation Strategy of AE (To be One in All things). Pray for the implementation of this project in taking AE to the 2nd generation. • James and Samuel Lungu – Continue to be in prayer for James and Samuel during the preparations for the transplant operation on April 10th during which Samuel will donate a kidney to James. Pray for Stephen and Rachel during this anxious time. • D.R.C – Continue to pray for Leonard’s visa for his trip to Australia - 29th April-31st May. Ethiopia 6th-9th April – Mission preparation taking place in the city of Nazareth • Malawi - Rangford Chokhotho, Board Chair AE Malawi, Chair Rep. to IPB Board. We have been praying for many months for the Lord to reveal the person of His choice for this vital position in the organization and we give thanks to Him for answered prayer. • Pray for those in the US Office – John Reynolds, Board Chair; Berhanu Deresse, Ex. Partnership Development Partner; Marylou Herrera, Financial Director; Ebenezer Sikakane, Partner Relations Officer; Debra Vasquez, Computer Service Co-ordinator, Malcolm Graham, Consultant to AE USA and IPB Member; Jamie Morrison, Communications Director AEUSA.

Through Christ, God has given us the privilege and authority to tell Gentiles everywhere what God has done for them, so that they will believe and obey him, bringing glory to his name.
LORD’S CARING CENTRE • 22nd April – Farmers and Business people evening • The team - strength and a passion for Him as they witness throughout the City.
ZANINI BANTWANA • Pray for the ZB team as they care for the Spiritual, emotional and educational needs of children in Hospitals – Alan, Sheena, Sihle, Sethembile, Hlengiwe, Mpume and Toyse. LAUSANNE CONFERENCE 2010 (CT2010) – 16th – 29th October • Some team members have been struggling with health and spiritual challenges lately. • Pray for those negotiating with airlines and for the provision of funding for scholarships.
