Core Competencies PDF Print E-mail

African Enterprise exists 'To reach the Cities of Africa through Word and Deed in Partnership with the Church.' This “Word and Deed” approach is an attempt to understand the gospel as having a holistic impact on people’s lives. To this end, we strive to reach the cities of Africa through our Core Competencies.

AE Core Ministry Areas

City Reaching

Reaching the major cities of Africa with the gospel is central to this ministry. With more than 30 full-time evangelists, African Enterprise is constantly conducting missions at the invitation of churches. These entail many months of preparation and training culminating in weeklong outreaches in national capitals to a few days in smaller.

In every mission, there is a strong emphasis on discipleship. AE works closely with local churches to ensure that new believers are properly cared for and nurtured in their faith. Life long discipleship is the aim.

Political, racial and tribal conflicts foster deep and deadly hostility among the people of Africa. African Enterprise works to tear down the walls of hatred and build trust and respect through the power of the Gospel.

African Enterprise was at the forefront of the struggle against apartheid in South Africa, and very much part of the process in leading South Africa away from the brink of a bloody civil war. The magnitude of this miracle is revealed in Michael Cassidy’s book A Witness For Ever.

Training programs that incorporate biblical leadership principles and Christian values are held for business, community, government and church leaders.

We believe that if, through our ministry, leaders are changed for Christ, they will use their influence and leadership to change for the better the lives of those they lead. Leadership development, therefore, is key to our future. Our leadership initiatives are part of our Africa Leadership Development Institute (ALDI), the objective of which is to develop godly leaders.
